Edentiti getMail collects personal information from users for the purposes of communicating with users. This information is recorded and used to identify account owners.
When you use various services with us you provide us with personal details such as your name and e-mail address. We use this information to identify the services you use.
Usage patterns
Our web server collects information on the usage patterns of people visiting our website. This information is used for statistical purposes and is gathered from each visit to our website. This information will not be used to identify individual users browsing activities, but will record:

All personal data is stored securely and active on the getMail server while ever the user remains an edentiti getMail user. The security of personal information will be sufficient to prevent misuse and loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure of personal information. getMail maintains a high level of data security by implementing:
- physical security to prevent unauthorised entry to our premises, by installing systems to detect unauthorised access and secure containers for storing paper-based personal information
- computer and network security to protect computer systems and networks for storing processing and transmitting personal information
- communications security to protect communications via data transmission and prevent unauthorised intrusion into our computer network
- personnel security, through our procedural and personnel measures for limiting access to personal information by authorised staff for approved purposes and controls to minimise security risks
Users may delete their personal information held by getMail. getMail will conduct all business operations in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act) and meet the National Privacy Principles. The National Privacy Principles are provided to protect the collection, use, disclosure, transfer and storage of 'personal information'.
Personal information is any information that can identify a person, or enable that person to be identified.
National Privacy Principles
Under the National Privacy Principles, small business operators (defined as a business with an annual turnover of under $3 million) are exempted from the operation of the new privacy regime. Under these guidelines, getMail is exempted from the National Privacy Principles. However, it is a core business principle of edentiti getMail to meet the National Privacy Principles, and edentiti getMail's privacy statement is provided as assurance to clients that edentiti getMail respects and applies the National Privacy Principles.
In addition to the voluntary adoption of the National Privacy Principles, edentiti getMail notes that core company values of user control, transparency and simplicity of operations are also relevant to the protection of users' personal information.
Spam
Edentiti getMail prohibits customers from sending Spam, as defined by the Australian Spam Act 2003.
Edentiti getMail customers are responsible for ensuring they abide by this policy. If edentiti getMail receives a report that our service has been used to send spam we may block the offending accounts to prevent further violations. We will also pass on details of suspected violations to the relevant authorities.
Edentiti reserves the right to change this edentiti getMail Privacy Policy from time to time.
